La Maison des Bois became le Hameau de mon père. A unique place to live run by his daughter, Élise Veyrat, where sharing and caring are the key words. Rooms and suites are available according to your preferences.
La Maison des Bois - Marc Veyrat has a scent of childhood. By identically recreating the guest farm of his grandparents and parents, Marc Veyrat breathed into it the soul of a real family home, designed like a prestigious hamlet surrounded by a bread oven, 'a food conservatory, a relaxation area and wild botanical gardens where our children discover nature. In old mazots from 1830 sublimely renovated according to the codes of Savoyard rural architecture, these intimate cocoons with more than modern comfort call for the sweetness of life. Élise Veyrat perpetuates her father's cooking and the charm of this unique place to live.
Disability accessibility:
A chalet is fully adapted for people in wheelchairs. It is 2.5km from the restaurant. A shuttle is offered by the hotel to reach it.
Local producers:
The hotel is a 5-minute drive from the Etale farm, where you can buy local cheese direct from the farm! If you’d like to combine business with pleasure, it’s a 1 hour 15 minute round-trip walk.
La Casa offers a great shopping experience, just a 10-minute walk away.
Cycling:
The hotel is situated at the start of downhill and cross-country mountain bike trails. You can arrive by road bike, or have your road bike transported on the back of a shuttle bus.
Bus stop:
There is a bus stop 35 minutes’ walk away. This is very handy for exploring the area by bus. It will take you as far as Thônes or La Clusaz, and even Le Grand-Bornand! You can also get here without a car from Annecy railway station.
