From mountain biking to road cycling
Presentation
In Manigod, cycling comes in all forms
Mountain biking, e-mountain biking, or road cycling—whether you’re after thrills, challenging mountain passes, or family rides, set out to explore at your own pace.
Why choose an e-mountain bike?
Get out there and explore the entire Manigod Valley on a standard or electric mountain bike!
An e-mountain bike lets you discover Manigod’s landscapes at your own pace, climb slopes more easily, and enjoy a ride together even if the group has varying fitness levels. It is also a great way to cover more ground or make the most of an outing, even after a busy day.
A free cycling route map is available at the Manigod Tourist Office. To explore the trails with complete peace of mind, you can also hire a guide for a safe and enjoyable ride!
How does it work?
The e-mountain bike features an electric motor powered by a battery. The pedal-assist kicks in as you ride, adjusting to your chosen assistance level and the steepness of the terrain. In the mountains, the battery range is typically between 40 and 50 km, depending on the route and the level of assistance used.
What about winter?
In winter, try something unique: e-mountain biking on snow. Accompanied by an instructor, enjoy a fun, sociable outing with family or friends.
The routes?
Discover routes suitable for all levels, winding through alpine pastures and forests with panoramic views of the Aravis mountains.
MTB/e-MTB routes: marked trails suitable for all skill levels.
Downhill trails: accessible via chairlift.
Road cycling enthusiasts?
Follow in the footsteps of champions by tackling the Col de la Croix Fry, a regular feature of the Tour de France. The 842-meter vertical climb offers a sporting challenge rewarded by exceptional panoramic views of the Aravis massif.
The stunning scenery of this legendary Aravis pass will make you forget the grueling ascent, and the restaurants at the summit await to serve you a well-earned cold drink.
Does an 842-meter vertical climb sound daunting?
Don't worry! Rent an electric road bike from Veyrats Sports and take on the challenge with greater ease.
