A ski area on a human scale

Manigod is, above all, a resort on a human scale—a village and a valley that have managed to preserve their soul and authenticity. Its ski area is part of the larger La Clusaz-Manigod network, which features 130 km of runs, offering a diverse playground for all skill levels.
Whether you are a beginner, a young skier, visiting with family, or a fan of "nature-focused" skiing, there is something for everyone to fully enjoy the mountains. The area is particularly well-suited for learning to ski, making progress, and honing your skills, while also offering great opportunities for those seeking thrills and more challenging, expansive terrain.
For snow-sports enthusiasts, the ski-in/ski-out connection to the La Clusaz area significantly broadens your options, allowing you to enjoy a wide variety of runs and landscapes.
And for those who like to venture off the beaten path, the snow-covered fir trees lining the groomed runs offer wonderful chances to mix things up and explore a pristine natural environment—provided conditions are right and safety rules are followed.

The resort’s standout feature?

Its ski area, connected to La Clusaz, offers no less than 130 km of runs—appealing to both daytime skiers and night-skiing enthusiasts alike.
Manigod boasts one of the largest night-skiing areas in the Haute-Savoie Mont Blanc region, featuring 8 illuminated runs and 4 ski lifts that remain open into the evening.
As the last rays of the sun fade and the lights on the slopes flicker to life, the resort takes on a warm, welcoming atmosphere. From 4:30 PM onwards, you can extend your day on the snow—a perfect way to unwind, breathe in the fresh air, and escape after a busy day. Best of all, you can forget about long waits at the lifts; at night, you’re free to make the most of the slopes and enjoy a unique, one-of-a-kind skiing experience.

Experiences that define Manigod

In Manigod, the experience extends well beyond the ski runs. Here, you’re encouraged to take the time to meet the people who bring the mountains to life, go behind the scenes of the resort, and share simple, authentic, and convivial moments.
Because Manigod is also a story of professions, expertise, human connections, and traditions, the resort offers a range of immersive experiences throughout the winter, allowing you to discover the mountains from the inside.

Behind the scenes on the slopes

Hop aboard a snow groomer and discover the meticulous work that goes into creating perfectly groomed runs. It’s a rare opportunity to gain insight into the life of a snow-groomer operator and see the resort from a whole new perspective.

Children, too, can become "little pros of the slopes"—meeting the operators, learning about their daily routines, and getting a peek behind the curtain of the grooming process.

Eager to strap on your skis at the crack of dawn? With "Patroller for a Day," join the ski patrollers as they open the slopes, be the first to leave your tracks in the fresh snow, and discover a profession that is essential to the safety and daily operation of the resort.

Discovering the snow factory

How is the snow used to prepare the slopes actually made? Come explore the "snow factory" and learn about the role of a snow-making technician.

This tour offers a behind-the-scenes look at snow production and a better understanding of the daily work required to open and maintain the ski area.

Fridays in Manigod

In Manigod, nightfall doesn’t mean the day is over—it simply opens up a whole new way to experience the mountains. Once the day’s skiing comes to an end, the atmosphere in Manigod shifts!

Every Friday throughout the season, the top of the slopes becomes the go-to spot for après-ski. From 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, enjoy DJ sets, live music, and entertainment in an exceptional setting, with mountain peaks as a backdrop.

From house, funk, disco, and jazz to brass bands and themed parties, every Friday offers a unique vibe. It’s a fun, social way to extend your day and experience the resort from a different perspective.

Labell'Aire: a break with a view

Why not just take a little break?
Located at the summit of Tête de Cabeau, Labell'Aire is a high-altitude relaxation area, easily accessible directly from the ski slopes. With lounge chairs, picnic tables, a large hammock, and panoramic mountain views, it’s the perfect place to catch your breath and take in the scenery. Featuring an iconic, oversized red chair and regular events, Labell'Aire has also become a must-visit spot to capture the perfect photo of your time in Manigod.

Learn more about the Labellemontagne group

Respect for the environment is part of the DNA of Labellemontagne, a company committed to the development and management of mountain resorts.

For several years, the group has implemented an action plan to integrate environmental issues into its development strategy. The program includes eco-commitments—inspired by the roadmap set out by *Domaines Skiables de France* (French Ski Areas Association)—aimed at the long-term preservation of the mountain environment. These involve concrete measures addressing climate change and greenhouse gas emissions, water management, biodiversity protection, landscape preservation, and waste management.

The goal: to achieve carbon neutrality by 2037, with net-zero CO₂ emissions.

The actions taken are subject to regular evaluation. This environmental quality approach enables the group to better address the challenges facing mountain resorts (such as climate change and the depletion of natural resources), while engaging various stakeholders and providing greater transparency for skiers when choosing their next destination.

Energy conservation plan

Among the initiatives undertaken:

  • training ski lift operators in eco-friendly operating practices;
  • adjusting the speed of chairlifts and gondolas based on visitor numbers;
  • shutting down decommissioning redundant ski lifts outside of peak periods;
  • precisely measuring snow depth to tailor snow production to actual needs;
  • gradually replacing older equipment with gear that offers better energy and environmental performance;
  • developing new electricity generation capacity within the ski area and adjacent spaces—such as parking lots—through micro-hydroelectric plants integrated into existing snowmaking networks, as well as the installation of photovoltaic panels.
