Breathe in the fresh mountain air, challenge your coordination and endurance, forge your own path through the snow, clear your mind, and take in the stunning scenery… Ski touring is the ultimate way to explore the vastness of the mountains in winter.
Imagine being all alone in the world, carving your own tracks through pristine powder! You ascend using climbing skins and descend on your skis. Please note: you should be comfortable skiing in all types of snow conditions.
Our marked routes are the perfect place to get started with this sport.

No. 1
Route Name: Grand Crêt Route
Start: At the base of the Grand Crêt ski lift; follow the yellow and black markers.
Finish: At the summit of Crête Blanche.
Elevation Gain: 164 m
Distance: 1.53 km
Level: Intermediate
Special Feature: An ascent through the forest, offering a view of a traditional Savoyard chalet clad in *tavaillons* (wooden shingles).

Start: From the Col de Merdassier ski lift parking area (near the sledding slope).
Finish: At the summit of the Cabeau chairlift.

Distance: 1.62 km
Level: Intermediate

Important Information
These ski touring routes are reserved exclusively for ski touring; use of these routes is at your own risk. Snowshoeing and walking are not permitted.
The yellow and black markers are provided for guidance. Please stick to the designated route and respect the surrounding natural environment. Check the avalanche risk for off-piste areas before heading out for a ski touring excursion.
Ski touring is strictly prohibited on the ski slopes at all times, including during the ski area's operating hours.
If the ski lifts are not running, access to ski touring ascent routes is prohibited (due to risks such as avalanches, active avalanche control operations, or the presence of winch-operated grooming machinery).
Ensure you complete your descent before the ski lifts close.
Recommended equipment:
Avalanche transceiver (DVA), headlamp, mobile phone, shovel, probe, and helmet.
In case of an emergency:
- Secure the area and ensure your own safety.
- Raise the alarm by calling 15.
- Provide first aid.
For your first few outings, consider being accompanied by a guide!
