1. WHICH OLYMPIC CHAMPION IS FROM MANIGOD ?
Hugo Lapalus and Théo Schely are both cross-country skiers from Manigod, but to date, Hugo is the only Olympic medallist from Manigod (bronze in the relay).

2. WHAT IS THE ODD ONE OUT AMONG THESE CHEESES?
Raclette is a cheese made from raw cow's milk, pressed and uncooked, from the canton of Valais in Switzerland. Reblochon and manigodine both come from the Haute-Savoie.

3. HOW MANY PIPES DOES THE MANIGOD ORGAN HAVE?
1372. In 1991, a project was launched to build a pipe organ in the parish church. Its construction was entrusted to Mr Barthélémy FORMENTELLI, an organ builder near Verona, Italy. He built the entire instrument himself, including the pipes and sculptures.
In 1996, the 22-stop organ was installed, which represents 1372 pipes. It has two manuals and a complete pedalboard. It is decorated with a hand-carved walnut case in the Italian neo-baroque style.

The Merdassier pass. You will be charmed by its small shopping centre and its swimming pool integrated into the mountain pastures. At the Tête de Cabeau, you can enjoy a free nature trail in the forest and admire the sunset. There is a ski link to La Clusaz from the Col.

9. WHAT IS THE PARET?
A sledge. A small wooden sledge with only one iron runner, equipped with a board allowing you to sit with one foot on each side of the sledge, and a vertical handle allowing you to steer the whole thing. This ecological sledge, emblematic of the village, was used in the past by children to get to school by going down the snowy roads.
