Saint Laurent was particularly invoked to heal burns and skin diseases.
The original chapel of Villard-Dessous was the first built in Manigod.

The statue of Saint Laurent inside the chapel is invoked to heal burns. He was deacon of the Church of Rome, where he died as a martyr in 258. He’s wearing a stole and a specific tunic named ‘dalmatic’, liturgical clothes of deacons.

According to oral ‘legends’ has it that during the French Revolution, the wooden statue of Saint Laurent was removed from the chapel and hidden under a pile of hay in a barn of the neighborhood. In 2002, the statue was placed again inside the chapel.

Saint Clair was particularly invoked for eyes protection.
All year round, daily.
