People came to Montpellaz to ask for good weather. The East-West orientation of this side of Manigod valley give to this neighborhood a really sunny weather.
The chapel of Montpellaz was erected thanks to the donation of two women from the neighborhood.

The structure is quadrangular with a four parts roof and a small bell tower, two windows on both sides of the entrance and an oratory niche above the door.

Its 1827 bell is dedicated to Saint Jean-Baptiste and is engraved with two medallions : the first one represents the Virgin Mary with the Christ child in her arms and the second represents a crucifix.
All year round, daily.
