3-star chalet for 8 people with fireplace & sauna, 1km from the slopes. Renovated farmhouse close to the slopes with sauna, garden and fireplace.
This warm and welcoming family chalet, located near the village of Manigod and just 1 km from the slopes (the ski bus stops right in front, so you won't waste any time getting to the resort!), was built by the owner's grandparents. It even bears their names: Arsène and Léa.
While the owners used original materials during the renovation, their work has taken them to the four corners of the world – an eclecticism reflected in several decorative objects brought back from Africa.
The family has two young daughters, and the chalet was therefore designed in part with them in mind: there is a large, flat, fenced garden at the rear of the chalet, complete with a swing set and a pétanque court, as well as a lovely play area inside on the mezzanine. However, care should be taken to ensure that young children do not climb the rather steep stairs to the upper floor alone.
The chalet overlooks the local road, which is regularly cleared of snow in winter, making it easily accessible. It offers breathtaking views of the Manigod Valley, the Etale, the Val Sulens, Mont Charvin, and La Tournette. There is parking for four cars in front of the chalet entrance, as well as a garage where you can store your skis, bicycles, or other equipment. And a little surprise awaits you in the garden shed!

This warm and inviting interior is ideal for a large family. The ground floor comprises a kitchen, a dining area, a living room with a beautiful stone fireplace, and a library built from the wood of the farm's old mangers.
The French doors open onto a garden and a lovely wooden terrace, perfectly oriented and offering magnificent views of the Manigod Valley. On the same level, you will also find a large bathroom with a bathtub and walk-in shower, as well as a double bedroom.
Open stairs lead upstairs to a large living area divided into several zones. You can relax on the sofa watching television while the children play in the play area. This floor also features an en suite double bedroom opening directly onto the garden, comprising a shower room and a dressing room.
Above, the mezzanine offers a cozy bedroom with two single beds that can be joined to form a double bed. Finally, an alcove has been furnished with two single beds that children will love. In the garden, a surprise awaits you in the chalet: a genuine Scandinavian sauna. To fully enjoy its benefits, don't hesitate to run back to the chalet through the snow!
