The *Le Capitaine* bistro holds the "Bistrot de Pays" (Village Bistro) certification!
In France, rural bistros serve as unique hubs for social interaction, community connection, discovery, and local activity. They are often the only local service providers left in these villages. Yet, only 8,900 remain in rural municipalities with fewer than 2,000 inhabitants (Source: INSEE Services Division).
Sadly, bistros have been closing their doors for far too long. France loses 1,000 bistros annually, even though these multi-service café-restaurants are an integral part of our regions' living heritage.

A true innovation, the "Bistrot de Pays" label was created in 1993 to support independent bistro owners. These establishments collectively commit to upholding the label's quality charter.
