Tourism Quality Brand

Quality Brand
The Tourism Quality Label, created by the Ministry of Tourism, recognises the efforts made by tourism stakeholders, particularly tourist information offices, to continuously improve the quality of their services. To better meet visitors’ expectations and improve the services offered to socio-professional partners, the local community and the general public, many tourist information offices have implemented a quality management system that complies with relevant standards and guidelines.
This has been the case at the Manigod Tourist Office since 2017…
A mark of quality
The Qualité Tourisme label, established by the French government through the Directorate-General for Enterprise, aims to improve hospitality and tourism services in France.
It provides establishments such as hotels, campsites and tourist offices with specific guidelines to optimise their services and ensure sound management. With a focus on listening to and satisfying customers, this label provides a guarantee for visitors, professionals and local authorities alike.
The Tourist Office has multiple objectives:
To maintain a constant pursuit of organisational excellence,
To increase the visibility and credibility of its services,
To contribute to local tourism development by satisfying the public and generating economic benefits.
To achieve these objectives, a Quality Manager oversees the quality assurance process, working in collaboration with a team of representatives based in each department of the Tourist Office.

Destination of Excellence
From 1 September 2024, the “Qualité Tourisme” label will be phased out, before being discontinued on 31 December 2026.
The “Destination of Excellence” label, introduced on 1 May 2024, is intended to replace “Qualité Tourisme”. It incorporates the core elements of the “Qualité Tourisme” scheme, in particular the guarantee of a high standard of hospitality, and raises the bar in terms of environmental responsibility and information for people with disabilities regarding the accessibility of the services on offer. It is managed by Atout France.
This reform aims to raise the profile of the labels and make them more attractive to tourists and certified establishments.
“Created in 2024, the Destination d’Excellence label is the only state-awarded label granted to tourism professionals committed to offering an exemplary quality of experience to their visitors, whilst enhancing the eco-responsibility of their service offering. Quality, eco-responsibility, inclusivity and professionalism are at the heart of the values upheld by the label.”
Tourist Offices are implementing this scheme and working to continuously improve the quality of the services provided.
To ensure compliance with this approach, audits are carried out to monitor the application of the standards for each service within every tourism organisation.
The Manigod Tourist Office has renewed its Qualité Tourisme accreditation for 2022 and is preparing to apply for the Destination d’Excellence accreditation in 2026.

The Les Sapins hotel and restaurant has also been awarded the Qualité Tourisme accreditation and is preparing to apply for the Destination d’Excellence accreditation.
