An evening of stargazing on 8 August in Manigod
Maxime Viguier, mountain guide and astronomy mediator for the ‘Ciel des Alpes’ organisation, is a native of the region and passionate about alpine wildlife, hiking and astronomy.
In partnership with the Manigod Tourist Office, he invites holidaymakers and locals to discover or rediscover the night sky and its secrets during an astronomy evening at the Col de Merdassier on Friday 8 August at 8.45pm.
An evening of awareness and observation of the night sky during which Maxime will discuss various topics: constellations, objects and nebulae in the sky, light pollution... Lying in the grass, looking up at the sky, is already a good way to observe the sky.
To get a good view of the sky, all you need to do is go up to a slightly higher altitude, away from cities and light pollution, sit down, listen and contemplate.
