ManigodLocation : Eglise Saint-Pierre
Presentation
The Manigod Tourist Office invites you to discover the organ of its Saint-Pierre Church!
Exceptional to the eye, the Manigod organ is equally exceptional to the ear.
Its strong personality and secret sonorities are unrivalled in the region. A number of concerts will be held in the church this summer featuring our magnificent organ, accompanied by other instruments:
9 July: Organ and Choir Concert
by Blanche Latour and the Murmurations Choir.
The Murmurations Chamber Vocal Ensemble
Founded in 2023 by Blanche Latour under the name Choeur des Seize, following a commission from the Brou Festival, the ensemble brings together amateur singers selected for their artistic commitment and passion for singing. In 2026, the ensemble expanded to 24 singers and took the name M U R M U R A T I O N S.
This word refers to the fascinating spectacle of flocks of starlings spreading out in shifting clouds, forming collective patterns in the sky with striking fluidity and beauty. It perfectly symbolises the spirit of the choir: the harmony born of unity, shared movement, the strength of cohesion and the poetry of collective sound.
Blanche Latour – Conductor
A choir director in Annecy, with degrees in organ, musicology, pedagogy and choral conducting, Blanche Latour nurtures her passion for choral singing through a constant quest for sonic quality and a tireless commitment to guiding each chorister towards their full potential.
Her professional experience has led her to teach choral singing to a wide range of audiences (adults, children, schools and community groups) at prestigious institutions: the Conservatoires of Rouen, Seynod and Annecy, and the Conservatoire and Haute École de Musique de Genève.
