Shadows and Light: The Mendelssohn Legacy
For the very first edition of Zadig and Friends, Trio Zadig invites you into the poignant and radiant world of Fanny and Felix Mendelssohn.
For the very first edition of Zadig and Friends, Trio Zadig invites you into the poignant and radiant world of Fanny and Felix Mendelssohn.
Through works by these two iconic figures of German Romanticism—one whose genius remained in the shadows for too long, and the other celebrated in his time—we explore the tension between inner brilliance and public recognition.
This musical journey is enriched by the voices of their close friends and contemporaries: Clara and Robert Schumann, and Johannes Brahms. Together, they form a constellation of artists bound by friendship, love, and a shared passion for chamber music.
Welcome to the inaugural edition of Zadig and Friends—a new musical gathering in the heart of the
Alps.
