Discover the snow factory and the snowmaker job in Manigod. Careful: limited seating

Snowmaking is quite an art. Rudy, a snowmaker at Manigod Labellemontagne, knows this job inside out!
The Manigod ski area has 63 snow guns, 4 monofluids and 58 poles. There are 2 machine rooms, one at the Col de Merdassier and one at the Col de la Croix Fry. For the ski area, Rudy works with the only reservoir on the site, a 12 cubic metre reservoir located near the "Le Refuge" residences.

So you have to ask yourself, how do you make snow with all that?
Snow is made using only water and air propelled at high pressure. That's right, nothing more!
The installation of the machines is automated and computer-controlled. As soon as the temperature reaches -4 degrees and conditions are right, production begins. Production always starts at the beginning of November and continues until December.
