Presentation
The 441 quartet returns to Haute-Savoie this summer and will give a concert on Saturday 30 July at 6 pm in the church of Manigod. Quartet 441 is a string quartet founded in Paris in 2008 by musicians who wanted to discover this chamber music repertoire.
It is currently composed of Juliette Carradec and Ruth Nelson on violin, Jérôme Eskenazi on viola and Nicolas Boucher on cello.
These four musicians began studying their instruments at a very young age and have never stopped playing in various ensembles. As a quartet, they meet every week to rehearse their chosen works and prepare for future concerts. They play most often in Paris, in private homes, but also in schools, old people's homes, churches, libraries, entertainment centres, on barges, in bandstands...
They are particularly fond of the romantic period (Beethoven, Dvorak, Borodin, Schubert) and also enjoy playing arrangements of film music or songs.
Juliette and Ruth, violinists, Jérôme, violist and Nicolas, cellist, will enjoy playing works by Haydn, Dvorak, Lekeu and some arrangements for string quartet.
They will also give elements of the musical language as well as the historical context of the creation of the pieces to help you discover the richness of classical music.
The programme will be as follows:
Dvorak: Quartet n°11 in C Major (excerpts)
Lekeu: Molto Adagio in F# minor
Joseph Haydn: Quartet op.76 n°1 in G Major
Participation is free, come in great numbers!
